LEILANI is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth and Postpartum Doula and the owner of Breastfeeding Fixers and Leilani’s Wellness Center in San Diego, California. She has been in practice since 2006, helping families succeed with breastfeeding and finding balance in their lives together; and has written an E-book on 9 steps to Peaceful Breastfeeding which you can find here on her website.
Leilani addresses all challenges that potentially arise in a breastfeeding relationship; and specializes in tongue and lip tie evaluations, support, and wound care management. She is also trained in using IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback for treating emotional, psychological and neurological diagnosis' that affect the brain and central nervous system; and has seen healing in clients with postpartum mood disorders, food aversions, ADHD and more.
Leilani is a wife to Dennis, and together they have 7 sons, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren. They enjoy camping, hiking and trail riding riding their horses.
REBECCA is a Registered Nurse and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in Oceanside, California. She has enjoyed over 10 years experience in Women's Health specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and lactation.
Rebecca loves spending time with her patients and their families, and strongly believes in community working together to support and encourage one another emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Rebecca and her husband Doug have two adult daughters and a son in law. Together they enjoy the beach, hiking, exploring the beauty of California and music. She enjoys reading, blogging, hosting friends and family in her home, and getting to snuggle all the babies of course.
WENDY is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is the mother of four children, all of whom she breastfed for over a year, including one NICU graduate. She is passionate about helping moms succeed at reaching their breastfeeding goals and developing healthy parent/child relationships. Her desire is to offer hope in all circumstances and believes that with support we can overcome the challenges life throws at us.
She enjoys reading novels, walking on the beach, serving at her church, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
MARIE has a BS in Kinesiology, an MS in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM), and is a certified personal trainer (CPT) from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She combines Traditional Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture with functional blood work and Neuro Emotional Technique to accomplish a balance between the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual.
Marie enjoys painting, arts and crafts, cooking, yoga, and hanging out with her husband, son, and cat.
MYKAEL has been serving families as a birth doula for nearly 15 years. She sees her role as encourager and percipient, and has been blessed to see many families begin or expand their brood. She is a trained birth doula, childbirth educator and provides placenta encapsulation services, as well Having experienced being well supported and respected in labor herself, her desire is to help make this experience a reality for other new families. She loves Jesus most of all. She has a wonderful husband and six hilarious children.
ANABELL is a bilingual birth and postpartum doula from Guanajuato, Mexico. She moved to the United States in 2004. She has a passionion for breastfeeding and all birth related work. She is a trained birth Doula through ProDoula, and became certified as a birth and postpartum doula with Hufi School of Doulas and Midwives in Mexico. A few of her specialties include: Birth and Postpartum doula, certified placenta encapsulator and Belly-binding specialist. As a postpartum Doula Anabell has provided care and guidance for families in the San Diego area and Tijuana Mexico for over 7 years, helping them make their transition into motherhood. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and their dog Luna. She loves reading, cooking and outdoors activities.
COLLEEN is a birth and postpartum doula and monitrice with 42 years of experience as an RN. Her love and heart have been with women and infants since she graduated nursing school in 1979. She has attended over 5000 births ranging from low risk home births to high risk hospital births. Her experience includes having worked many years within OBGYN departments including the maternal infant care, postpartum, pediatric and neonatal intensive care. Her nursing care has extended to clients at end of life through her work with Hospice, and included acute care home health for all stages of life from pediatric to geriatric.
BRE is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Brigham Young University. After significant breastfeeding troubles with her first two children, she became eager to help other families navigate the complicated, early stage of nutrition associated with breastfeeding.
Bre and her husband have four small kids. They have lived all over the country and love living in San Diego with all the outdoor activities. She loves anything to do with the beach, snowboarding, running, and snuggling up on the couch with her kids and a good book or a movie.
Olivia was raised in Colorado, and attended Cornell College in Iowa where she received a B.A. in Chemistry in 2020. She currently enjoys supporting people as a DONA trained Birth and Postpartum Doula while she completes her training as a Student Midwife with Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery.
While Olivia has relished in the privilege to care for and support people as a Student Midwife, she loves the opportunity to provide emotional, physical, and spiritual nourishment as a doula. Her goal is to work with families of all sizes, ages, and backgrounds. Whenever she’s not studying, she can be found enjoying the beach, cooking, or playing with her cat.
Heather completed her Postpartum Doula Training with CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). A mother of three herself, she brings a wealth of personal experience as well as relevant professional experience in other service industries. She’s known for her resourcefulness and patience, as well as her joy around infants and children. Heather can also deeply empathize with unexpected postpartum challenges, having had to overcome significant health challenges of her own. Welcoming new life is a beautiful and exhilarating ride. Heather loves nothing more than the opportunity to join you on that ride and support you through the twists and turns!
