About Us

 LEILANI is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth and Postpartum Doula and the owner of Breastfeeding Fixers and Leilani’s Wellness Center in San Diego, California. She has been in practice since 2006, helping families succeed with breastfeeding and finding balance in their lives together;  and has written an E-book on 9 steps to Peaceful Breastfeeding which you can find here on her website. 

Leilani addresses all challenges that potentially arise in a breastfeeding relationship; and specializes in tongue and lip tie evaluations, support, and wound care management.  She is also trained in using IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback for treating emotional, psychological and neurological diagnosis' that affect the brain and central nervous system; and has seen healing in clients with postpartum mood disorders, food aversions, ADHD and more.

Leilani is a wife to Dennis, and together they have 7 sons, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren. They enjoy camping, hiking and trail riding riding their horses. 

  WENDY is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  She is the mother of four children, all of whom she breastfed for over a year, including one NICU graduate. She is passionate about helping moms succeed at reaching their breastfeeding goals and developing healthy parent/child relationships. Her desire is to offer hope in all circumstances and believes that with support we can overcome the challenges life throws at us.

She enjoys reading novels, walking on the beach, serving at her church, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

MYKAEL has been serving families as a birth doula for nearly 15 years. She sees her role as encourager and percipient, and has been blessed to see many families begin or expand their brood. She is a trained birth doula,  childbirth educator and provides placenta encapsulation services, as well Having experienced being well supported  and respected in labor herself, her desire is  to help make this experience a reality for other new families. She loves Jesus most of all. She has a wonderful husband  and six hilarious children.

COLLEEN is a birth and postpartum doula and monitrice with 42 years of experience as an RN. Her love and heart have been with women and infants since she graduated nursing school in 1979. She has attended over 5000 births ranging from low risk home births to high risk hospital births. Her experience includes having  worked many years within OBGYN departments including the maternal infant care, postpartum, pediatric and neonatal intensive care. Her nursing care has extended to clients at end of life through her work with Hospice, and included acute care home health for all stages of life from pediatric to geriatric.  

Kayla is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UCSD. She breastfed her three children each until toddlerhood and attributes much of that success to being raised in an environment where breastfeeding was normalized and support for it was abundant. After witnessing countless friends struggle in their breastfeeding journeys, she became passionate about providing quality and compassionate breastfeeding support in an effort to give other families the same advantages that she had.    
Since 2013 Kayla has also been busy growing her photography business with a focus on documentary family, newborn and birth photography and video, showing families how amazing they are, just as they are. In the few minutes each day she has to spare between work and chauffeuring kids around town, she loves to read, lift heavy weights, and take naps with her cat.
